Panatta taps into the power of solar energy

Panatta’s philosophy has always been underpinned by its Italian roots and a strong emphasis on the environment. In a nod to this commitment, the company is always looking for the most innovative technology to help protect the natural environment around its production plants.

As part of its sustainability journey, Panatta has recently taken an important step in this journey and installed solar panels on all its factory’s roofs.

With an annual energy consumption of 1.160.000 kw/hour, the new solar panels will produce an additional 510.000 kw/hour which equates to 44 per cent of the company’s annual energy requirements.

In a recent interview, Angela Tosti, the president of Panatta, said “the new solar power plant will help our company to become more energy self-sufficient”.

In addition, the company has substituted all light points with LED bulbs which have reduced its energy consumption from 279.000 kw/hour to 126.000 kw/hour.

Despite cost reduction, Panatta says the most important result is the reduction in its CO2 production (up to 318 tons/year) in agreement with its environmental pledges.

Panatta also works in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 laws to reduce carbon footprint production by working with recycled materials.

The company remains steadfast in its dedication to creating market-leading biomechanical fitness machinery with a low impact on the environment.
